Participant Waiver, Hold Harmless Agreement and Media Release

    In consideration for registering to participate in the 2008 National Chevy Avalanche Get Together (herein referred to as GTG), which is organized by the Carolina Avalanches and the Tennessee Avalanches (herein referred to as ORGANIZERS), sanctioned by The Chevy Avalanche Fan Club of North America (herein referred to as CAFCNA), sponsored by all participating companies (herein referred to as SPONSORS), hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue, and agree to hold harmless for any and all purposes, the ORGANIZERS, CAFCNA, SPONSORS, and their officers, families, agents, volunteers, employees or attendees (herein referred to as PARTICIPANTS) from any and all liabilities, claims, demands, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me or my family and friends while participating in said GTG, or while on or in the premises or property owned or leased by the participants. I know of no mechanical or medical reason why I should not participate. 

    I am fully aware that there are inherent risks involved with the GTG. Conducting myself within the legal limits of the law can reduce the likelihood of the inherent risks becoming hazardous to myself, my family, my friends and/or my property.

    Knowing this information, I choose to voluntarily participate in the GTG with full knowledge that the GTG may be hazardous to myself and/or my property. I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks of loss, property damage or personal injury, including death, that may be sustained by me as a result of participating in the GTG. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the participants for any loss, liability, damage or costs, including court costs and attorney’s fees, which may occur as a result of my participation in the GTG. 

    I understand that the PARTICIPANTS maintain all rights to use photographs, motion picture film, and or video tape taken of attendees and or verbal statements made by attendees for the purposes of advertising.

    I understand that the PARTICIPANTS do not maintain any insurance policy covering any circumstance arising from my participation in this GTG or any event related to this GTG. As such, I am aware that I should review my personal insurance coverage. 

    It is my express intent that this Participant Waiver, Hold Harmless Agreement and Media Release shall bind the members of my family and spouse, if I am alive, and my heirs, assigns and personal representatives, if I am deceased, and shall be governed by the laws of the Tennessee. 

    Upon completion of my registration I acknowledge this Participant Waiver, Hold Harmless Agreement and Media Release, I acknowledge and represent that I have read the foregoing Participant Waiver, Hold Harmless Agreement and Media Release, understand it and register voluntarily as my own free act and deed. I acknowledge and represent that no oral representations, statements, or inducements apart from the foregoing agreement that has been reduced to writing have been made. I execute this document for full, adequate and complete consideration fully intending to be bound by the same, now and in the future.
